Hey everyone!
I’m so sorry for my lack of posting over the past few months, I’ve been studying for the LSAT. Luckily, the test is this coming Saturday so once it has passed, I’ll be back to posting once a week!
This week I’m reviewing a product that I’m definitely late to the party on: L’Oréal Paris Infallible 24 Hr Eye Shadows! I was at Ulta just killing some time after a stressful day of work when I came across the Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24 Hr Cream Gel Eye Shadows (what a mouth full). I’ve heard amazing things about them, especially about the shade “Bad to the Bronze” and decided that I was finally going to buy it. Just one problem, they were out of stock and I didn’t really love any of the colors that were left. So I decided to check out the L’Oréal section because I remembered they had something similar.
Product Details- L’Oréal Paris claims these infallible shadows are intense, maximized colors that last 24 hours and describes their formula as “fusing the ease of a powder with the velvety caress of a cream to create a unique hybrid that glides on effortlessly”. These shadows are also “waterproof, crease resistant and fade resistant”. These retail for about $8.
Packaging- I love the packaging, I love the square shaped bottom and the circular top. The name of the shade is right on the lid and you can clearly see the pigment through the bottom. When you open them up there is a stopper that keeps the product in place and I think helps it from drying it out (they are not pictured above).
Color Swatches/Pigmentation/Longevity- The two shades I purchased are “Amber Rush” and “Bronzed Taupe”. The formula on these are amazing, they are extremely buttery and are beautifully metallic. When you swatch this product on your hand or apply it to your eyes, the pigmentation is the same and is absolutely amazing. It is so opaque, you only need a little bit to get the desired effect. They are actually really easy to blend on the eye too which is great and would make a great eye shadow base as well! These last on my eyes all day long. These are probably the best cream based eye shadows I’ve ever tried so far. I’ve had these shadows for about two months now and neither of them have dried out so that’s great!
I will say “Amber Rush” is definitely my favorite and I highly recommend this shade, it is such a beautiful rose gold. Whenever I am doing a simple, quick makeup look for some reason I always reach for rose gold shadows and this has been my go to product for the past two months. I do like “Bronzed Taupe” but to me, it looks different in the pot than it does when it is swatched. In my opinion, it looks more bronz-y in person but when I swatch it, it’s more taupe and becomes a little darker. It isn’t my favorite and I don’t wear this one as often as “Amber Rush”.
How I apply this product- I think the best way to apply it is with your finger. Definitely start with a little and build it up. You’ll want to swatch away because it feels incredible on your finger, but like I said, it is super pigmented and a little goes a long way. Once I cover the lid, I’ll grab a flat shader brush and make sure my inner corners are covered.
Thank you for reading! If you’ve tried other colors in these L’Oréal Paris Infallible Shadow’s or if you’ve tried other amazing cream shadows in general, please comment below.

Great!
I haven’t tried these – I’m definitely going to look out for them. I wonder if they are available in UK.
